Poetry Lecture with Ann Cotten

Ann Cotten will be giving a poetry lecture in May at the Literaturhaus am Inn/Brenner Archive in cooperation with the Institute of German Studies and the Cluster of Excellence.

Changes of changes, which change and differ from place to place, influencing each other in the process: Flows are something that people and animals, and probably plants, stones and quarks, like to play with. The strenuous is also the entertaining. But true complexity requires easy to grasp references. Ann Cotten proposes the pseudo-Japanese art term hentairon, influenced by Yōko Tawada and Ovid, as an alternative to the term avant-garde, which is contaminated by heroism and militarism, and shows what can be understood - and not understood - by it.

The event will be open to all.
